Coco Chips are a premium, certified organic, OMRI listed growing medium and superior alternative to expanded clay and rockwool. Coir is the coarse fibers and sponge like material that make up the thick husk of the coconut fruit. At the factory in the interior of Sri Lanka, selected husks are first soaked to soften and then chopped into small chunks. Once the material is cut, it is then twice screened to remove small particles, composted and super washed to ensure an extremely pure, high quality substrate.
